Case Study – Start-up of a New Chalet Company
One case study was a new company starting for the 2010-2011 season. They were keen to focus entirely on running the holidays, so I took over the task of finding all their clients for them.
We worked together to design their product and pricing strategy. I then took over finding their guests. I designed and fully implemented all their marketing. Their first involvement with finding guests was when the emails started to land in their inbox.
I also followed them through their entire first year. Everything from helping select their chalets, bartering with chalet owners, setting up the company structures, how to get the best conversion rate of enquiries into booking, setting up the systems to run the day-to-day business & how to deal with guests once in resort.
In their first winter they had 2 chalets, and the marketing I provided gave them an average occupancy of 90%. We are still working together as we look forward to winter 2011-2012 and adding more chalets to their business.
