Les Menuires Ski Resort is based high up in The Three Valleys ski area of France. High, practical and lively, Les Menuires might not be the prettiest ski resort to look at but if you plan your ski holidays around the skiing with some apres-ski then Les Menuires could be worth looking at.
Les Menuires Skiing is world class, being based high up in The Three Valleys ski area. The Three Valleys contains some of the most famous names in French Ski Resorts including Meribel, Courchevel, La Tania and Val Thorens (the highest ski resort in Europe!). As one of the largest ski areas in Europe the sheers scale and variety of the pistes connected to Les Menuires is quite something. There's what feels like and unlimited amount of skiing for all tastes and at all levels. The ski resort is based at 1850m, with skiing going up about 3000m, so there's a long and snow sure ski season in Les Menuires.
Ski holidays in Les Menuires are mostly in hotels and ski appartments, with lots of self-catering apartment options. There are also many catered chalets in Les Menuires, often with great access to the slopes and skiing with this being a high resort mostly above the tree line. If you are looking for a catered chalet holiday and for you great access to high, world class skiing is very important, then Les Menuires is worth considering. If though you are looking for a catered chalet holiday in a traditional alpine village with the charator and charms that goes with it, then you could consider some of the lower ski resorts of the Three Valleys such as St Martin de Belleville, Meribel or La Tania.
