Peisey-Vallandry is part of the Paradiski Ski Area, one of the largest areas in Europe. To one side of Peisey-Vallandry you have Les Arcs Ski Area, and La Plagne Ski Area to the other. All three ski areas joined together make the Paradiski area. Being right in the middle, Peisey-Vallandry makes the ideal base for making the most of the giant ski area.

Peisey-Vallandry is the combined name for two adjoining villages, Peisey & Vallandry. They are both charming little chalet based villages, each build to be inkeeping with their charming mountain surroundings. They are build mostly of chalets, with some smaller hotels and apartment buildings too, but there's none of the high-rise of some french resorts. These are relaxed and charming ski resorts, so if you are looking for that alpine village base, right in the centre of a world-class ski area, then maybe a catered chalet holiday in Peisey-Vallandry could be for you.

If you are after very lively apres-ski then perhaps one of the other resorts in the Paradiski area might suit you better. Les Arcs 1800 and les Arcs 2000, both part of the same ski area, also offer ski chalet holidays but area more tailored to those looking to burn the midnight oil after a day on the ski slopes.
