Peisey
Peisey ski resort is a lovely little village, made mostly of chalets and small hotels, between Les Arcs and La Plagne. The whole combined ski area (includeing Les Arcs and La Plagne is called Paradiski, and being in a great central location a Peisey Chalet Holiday offers wonderful skiing right on your doorstep.
The local skiing in Peisey, or Plan Peisey to give the full name, is made up mostly of wide blues and reds. An intermediate's cruising paradise, this mountainside of wide open red and blue pistes runs from Peisey, through Valladry and Les Arcs 1800 all the way to Les Arcs 1600. There is much more skiing than that though! The giant ski area known as Paradiski was formed when the Les Arcs ski area was connected to the La Plagne ski area, and Peisey happens to be right in the middle. This means you have endless skiing of all types and levels in both directions when you leave you ski chalet in the morning.
Peisey itself is made up mostly of ski chalets and smaller hotels, and retains some charm whilst also being a fairly practical resort - lots of the ski chalets are easily accessible from the slopes and are close to the ski lists of Peisey. There's a good selection of Catered Chalets in Peisey, along with plenty of self-catered chalets and self catering apartments too. There's some nice bars in Peisey, but if nightlife is a big part of your ski holiday then you might want to consider a ski chalet in Les Arcs 1800 or Les Arcs 2000.
