Due to the Mont Blanc tunnel, which links Courmayeur with Chamonix, you have great access to plenty of other ski areas as all the section of the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc ski area are within easy reach for a day trip's skiing. Courmayeur also has a lift connection up to the Aiguille du Midi, a towering spike on the shoulder of Mont Blanc at 3842m. The views on route are increadible as you traverse over Glaciers, and the surrounding scene from atop the Aiguille du Midi it like something from a different world as the glaciers of Mont Blanc touble past you. It's not for the faint hearted though, you'll be gainin over 2.5kms in altitude on the trip up!
