Chatel is a charming French ski resort just an hour and a half from Geneva airport. This authentic French Village is part of the huge Portes du Soleil ski area (as is Les Gets!), which at 650kms if the Largest in Europe!

We can vouch for the quality skiing of their pistes! Connected via the Portes du Soleil to Les Gets, Chatel is a great ski resort. It's similar to Les Gets in that the local slopes are based on pasture land, so open early in the season and are the perfect learning group for beginners and ideal for cruising territory for intermediate skiers. These local slopes then connect into higher, more rugged mountains further back that are a great playground for the more adventurous and advanced skier, meaning that Chatel and the Portes du Soleil really can cater for every level of Skier.
