Les Gets is a charming Savoyard village perched high up in the French Alps. Over 800 years old, the village maintains it's traditional routes and is a firm favourite with those looking to that picture perfect alpine village.
It's building are inkeeping & mostly contructed of wood and stone, retaining the charm of the village throughout. Thankfully Les Gets avoided the 60's nad 70's high rise fashion that affected so many French ski resorts!
Les Gets is especially popular with families and groups of mixed ages & interests. The village puts a lot of effort into the family markey, with a good range fo ski schools, childcare options, events and more going on for children of all ages. The outdoor ice rink is eternally popular and right in the centre of the village.
There's various options for infants including the local nursery and a various companies that offer nannies who come to the chalets to look after your children. For children 4 years and above then there is the Kids Club run by ESF called Les P'tits Montagnys. Being run by the main ski school, it works perfectly with their ski lessons. For example for younger children you could drop them off to ski school. They would pick them up from ski school, take them to lunch, then run the afternoon activies before you pick them up at the end of the day.

I'd describe Les Gets as a mid-sized resort for it's apres ski - lively and fun, but not huge and overpowering. If you are after a full on dance-on-the-tables-in-your-ski-boots resort then perhaps Les Gets is not for you. It does though have perhaps a dozen bars, with a friendly and relaxed atmosphere. Live bands make regular appearances. There's a full range from the imaginitively titled L'Ares-ski bar (where you can ski right to the bar itself), a good range of bars throughout the village for both apres-ski and after dinner, and for those with serious midnight oil to burn then there' L'Igloo nightclub, open until around 5am!
Les Gets Tourist office run all sorts of wonderful events throughout the season. There's a full range, from the "Big Mountain Battle" Orienteering race, to the "Grande Oddessy" Dog Sledge races (personal favourite of mine - I'd definitely recommend try to go that week as it's a wonderful event to see), to the "Rock the Pistes" music festival. For more information please see Les Gets Tourist office website.
Just 1 hour from Geneva Airport
Les Gets is one of the easiest resorts to get to in the French Alps.
Geneva airport is our main hub and that's just 1 hour's drive away. We can arrange transfers for you, all arranged around your flight times to minimise any waiting. This short transfer makes Les Gets a very popular Family Ski Resort.
The TGV goes to Geneva train station. From there you can take 10 minute train out to the airport, where we can arrange a transfer for you up to Les Gets. Cluses (in France) is the closest train station, 30 mins from Les Gets, though you can only get private transfers (good for groups of 4 or more people), so for individuals you might find Geneva an easier option.
Les Gets is very accessible by car from the UK. It's about 9 hours of driving time from Calais, all but the last 30 mins being on motorway. Top tip - there are two routes; one via Paris, and the over via Reims and Troyes. Take the latter, it's both much quicker and easier. There is parking by all our ski chalets in Les Gets.
By far the most extravagant but also the most exciting means of transporation in our list! Whitetracks Helicopters will provide the perfect start or finale to your ski holiday by ensuring a fast and unforgettable transfer journey that is combined with one of the best, if not the ultimate, panoramic birds eye view of the snow-capped Alpine landscape.
Welcome to Europe's Largest Ski Area, the Portes du Soleil.
Les Gets, along with 13 other ski resorts, are all joined together to make the Portes du Soleil. With 650kms of pistes spanning resorts in both Switzerland and France, this is the largest ski area in Europe. And yes you can ski to Switzerland for lunch then ski back again.
The local slopes close to the village are gentle and tree-lined. Excellent for beginners, especially when coupled with the first class range of ski schools.
The Portes du Soleil loop is a vast circuit of blue and easy reds. Yo can ski village to village, up one mountain and down the next, exploring always new pistes as you go. For the cruising intermediate it's a paradise of what seems like never ending skiing.
One advantage of being part of such a huge area is the variety of terrain that it give you to explore. As you move further away form the village centre things get higher and steeper.
If you like freestyle the Avoriaz offers one of Europe's best Freestyle resorts. A whole range of parks, two half pipes, the Stash forest park, giant air bag, touring competitions and more.
There's also the "Swiss Wall", reputed to be one of Europe's hardest mogul runs (the moguls can be truly savage from person experience, a serious challenge for even the best skiiers and snowboarders!). The Coup du Mond (world cup) black run is great for those wanting to see what their downhill racing idols take on, and there's a huge arrange of off piste from gentle tree-lined glades to the steep and challenging (we'd always recommend a guide though, both for safety and to show you where's good to go)
All this size and range is why Les Gets is so popular with groups of mixed abilities - everyone, no matter what there taste or level, will find plenty of skiing and snowboard that's perfect for them.
We can help you with all of this side. We pre-buy your lift passes and have them sat in the chalet ready and waiting for you, and the ski hire can be fitted in the chalet too - no queueing in ski hire shops! For lessons then there's a huge range of options. We can chat through them all with you then make and booking you would like.
Please just get in touch, let us know your level and we'll chat through all the options & prices, then we can make all the arrangements for you.

Mountain weather is notoriously changeable - as a rule of thumb the forecast for the next 2 days tends to be pretty good, 3 to 5 days gives you a fair idea of snowy / sunny / warm / cold etc, and more that 5 days can be anyone's guess....
For a human-written weather forecast then checkout the Chamonix Meteo forecast. Chamonix is very close as the crow flies.

We are a small family run business, please feel free to call days, evenings and weekends.
Our Les Gets, Morzine and St Jean d'Aulps operation is run by Raphael and Jana. As a local couple (Raphael's family have lived in Les Gets since time began I think), there's not much about the area they don't know! So if we can help you with any questions at all please just ask.
We are setup rather differently to other chalet companies. Each resort is it's own little company, and then we all work together under one banner.
Each resort having it's own owner means that you speak to someone that lives in the resort you are going too, will plan your holiday from start to finish then will be there in resort with you to make sure everything runs perfectly.
Does it work? Just see the reviews of all our products. The dedication of the company owners there in resort with you makes it such a success.
You'll be booking with the company that runs your resort. We have a website for each resort and service (details below), which you can see for more information.
It doesn't matter which website you us to contact us through, it is still the same people here answering your questions and looking after you in resort.
