Le Vieux Chalet (The Old Chalet) was built back before the days of ski resorts, making it one of the most unique and charming chalets in Les Gets. Ideal for group ski holidays, its wooden construction is complimented by the rustic yet lovingly restored furniture. For those looking for the true alpine chalet experience, this chalet is a must.
It is such an interesting building that it was featured on the front cover of "Maison a Vivre" magasine (Houses of Life). This is a magazine specialising in Period Renovations. They ran an issue called "Special Chalets" and Le Vieux Chalet has a large feature as well as being on the cover. We are very proud to have secured this Chalet in France. This chalet has more charm and character than just about any other in Les Gets.
Le Vieux Chalet was built in 1910 in Switzerland, before being moved to Les Gets. Its wooden construction has charm in every corner. This is the picture postcard chalet. Whether it be the uninterrupted views all the way down the valley to the Pic de la Corne, the peace and tranquility of a chalet set in it's own snow covered garden or just the charm of this 98 yr old building, this chalet is perfect for those looking to relax, unwind and truly enjoy their alpine surroundings.
There are 6 bedrooms and can sleep up to 17, yet we can offer guaranteed exclusive use of this chalet for groups of 12 or more, and the price for exclusive use is that of 12 adults so all the extra beds above that are free! Please contact us for details.
This chalet has had modern functionality added without losing any of its charm. It has underfloor heating, 6 bathrooms and a sauna, yet still has all it's rustic chalet appeal you would expect from a 98yr old Swiss Chalet.
Possibly the finest location in Les Gets
If you are looking for true peace and tranquility then this location is ideal. We are on the edge of the village centre. One way is just 5 minutes walk to the very centre of the ski resort, the other direction is a perfect uninterupted view all the way down the valley, nothing but trees, snow and huge mountains. That perfect balance of close enough for convienience yet true peace and tranquility.

The nearest lift is the Mt Chery Telecabine which is 350m away, and you can off-piste right to the back door of the chalet when the conditions allow. We can also arrange free ski and boot storage right on the Chavannes slopes so there is no need to carry skis anywhere.
