Introducing Solo Skiers Holidays

Ski Holidays for single travellers and solo skiers.

Solo travel is a becoming ever more popular, and there's a large community of skiers looking for groups to join for ski holidays.

It's a normal catered chalet holiday, except you'd be sharing a room with other solo skiers (of the same sex), so keeping the costs down.

There's no compulsion whatsoever on the social side - if you want to ski alone all day that's great, and if you'd rather join others on the holiday to ski with that's also great.

Who are Solo Skiers Holidays for?

There's a huge range and variety of people who opt for solo skiers holidays. There's one common thread though - a passion for snow sports and a dislike of single supplements!

Who goes on solo skiing holidays?

  • Independently minded travellers
  • Groups of 2s and 3s who'd like to ski & snowboard with others
  • Partner doesn't ski
  • Regular group not skiing any more
  • Extra week skiing this season

Types of People on these Ski Holidays

People who pick solo ski / snowboarding holidays come from all walks of life, and are generally quite sociable having decided to join a group like this. The main proportion range from late twenties to late fifties, though you do get the full age range on these single skier holidays.

Are these "Singles" Ski Holidays?

These are not "singles" ski holidays or dating trips, a good proportion of the skiiers have partners, just their partner doesn't ski or snowboard. Everyone is more than welcome!

Are these for Solo Travellers Only?

No. You'll find quite a lot of small groups (2s and 3s) joining these trips, where they'd like a larger group to ski with or if they've a split level within their own group.

It's a great way to meet other skiers & snowboarders for future holidays too!

How it Works

These are normal catered chalet holidays. You'd be sharing a room with other travellers of the same sex.

You can book just you own space, or a few spaces for you & some friends.

What about the social side?

The choice here is entirely yours! Often people will group together in groups of similar levels & interests to ski & snowboard together. Also people often meet up afterwards for a few après-ski drinks too.

There is no compulsion at all though. If you'd like to ski on your own that's great, if you enjoy skiing with others that's fine too.

They are catered chalet holidays & everyone is together at meal times, a great occasion to share stories of the days on-piste events!

Dates, Prices and more information

We don't run these holidays ourselves. They are run by a collection of catered chalet companies through a shared website: www.TheSkiGathering.com
